Hey there, buddy! Remember me? I was TheSkull31 for a decade before my laptop and phone died last year; then, for whatever reason I couldn't get back into my old Gmail. So, five months ago I started fresh and became IAmTheSkull.
How are you? C:
I remember you.
Wasn't active on DA felt for ages - just occasionally, though. Sorry, if I missed some stuff here. My life changed/changes a lot.
And, btw, thanks for the pins .. hum .. ah yes, favs, they call on DA. Seems I lost some routine here.
How did you survive 2020 till now? I hope, kinda good. And congrats to the new start. I hope it will be as successful as your previous account.
btw: Damn, I guess I still have to get used to DA's new outfit.
I don't know how I managed to get out of 2020 after my phone and laptop died on me last year around this time, but I guess it was God trying to tell me something. Whatever it was, I somehow made it through.
I feel your pain.
Last Christmas I was working on a few concepts for a university project with my tablet when that damn thing said goodbye, went black and vanished to data nirvana for ever.
And yesterday, I worked on other project, and out of sudden, my graphic pen didn't work anymore.
I tested the functionality of the graphics tablet with the touch pen of an older tablet/laptop (its a covertible thing). The graphic tablet works perfectly.
Unfortunately, the touch pen can only be used to a limited extent for graphic work, as it only has 2 pressure levels.
Well, a replacement pen is on the way. Comes straight from China. In four days or four weeks.
And the last 5 weeks I dealt with a broken foot ... but there were also some benefits out of it. E.g. it gave me a good excuse to stay away from all the bustle in and around our house. There's a lot of renovation and construction stuff going on yet and it's all in all a pretty busy this summer.
I almost wish my foot hadn't healed so quickly. But still, I should not load the foot too much for another week or two.
A few days earlier, I had an reminder of 2020 when I chatted with two former American school mates who complained that Covid cases are now increasing again in their big cosey country, as the delta mutations seem to be spreading quickly. I hope they can get this under control. But when you have a look on states like Texas, you could really doubt the sanity of our southern neighbors.
I hope, your summer was a relaxed one so far.
